Lewis was born in Corvallis, Oregon at the age of two his family moved to the small logging community of Sweet Home, Oregon where he was raised.  Already an accomplished artist in high school, he was first introduced to photography his senior year.  His passion for photography and art lead him to Linn-Benton Community College then later to the University of Oregon where he received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography.  He currently lives in Lebanon, Oregon.
